Enhancement of Surgery Management of Narcotic Drugs by the Introduc tion of SPD System

The Supply,Processing and Distribution system introduced by our hospital is used to enhance the management of narcotic drugs in operating rooms(OR).The system includes the establishment of drug preparation room of OR and the allocation of resident pharmacists;the adoption of two-division code for narcotic drugs to reduce persons who deal with it;the establishment of an effective tracing and monitoring mechanism to complete the systematic management for narcotic drugs;the optimization and management of reconciliation system to ensure the safety for narcotic medicine usage;as well as the clear-cut responsibilities of doctors and pharmacists to provide a satisfactory service to the patients.
