Abstract

The hidden and exposed terminal problems in ad hoc networks are introduced, and the method to solve them is pointed out in this paper. Based on two busy tones, a new MAC protocol DBTMAC is provided. Simulation results validate its efficiency in resolving the hidden and exposed terminal problems, and show that DBTMAC protocol can improve network throughput and avoid link error at the same time.
