Two Concepts of Equality: Comparison and Choice

Abstract

Equality and Liberty are the universal political values in our modern society,but the concept of equality became the core of political philosophy.This paper points out two concepts of equality according to thinking about the theories of equality in political philosophy: passive equality and positive equality.With comparison and Choice,this paper thinks that only positive concept of equality really expresses the idea of equality,and embodies the value of equality,and can solute the question of equality really.
