Experiences of chief physician WANG Shao-hua in treating chronic renal failure

This article introduces the experience of Dr.WANG Shao-hua,chief physician and one of the 4th batch teachers of inheriting academic experience of veteran Chinese medicine experts,in treating chronic renal failure with Siwei Decoction.Dr.Wang considers that chronic renal failure is caused by spleen and kidney's yang deficiency,endogenous turbid dampnessed,blood stagnation in meridian,chaotic or inverse movement,asthenic healthy qi with pathogen lingering,with a protracted course of the disease.Combining the methods of reinforcement and reduction,heat clearing and cold dispelling,Siwei Decoction is used as the base formula for treatment,especially benefiting to aging patients with renal failure.In clinic,it should grasp the key points of syndrome differentiation,balance yin and yang,and modify the therapy accordingly.Validated by clinical application,Dr.Wang's experience has satisfactory curative effects and reference values for the treatment of chronic renal failure.
