Abstract
On the basis of the gear meshing theory, the curve equation of asymmetric involute tooth profile was derived. And the three-dimensional entity model of asymmetric involute gear was created by using the secondary development technology of VBA within the software of Autodesk Inventor. In order to get the dynamic model of asymmetric gear transmission,an equivalent transformation method was proposed. Whereafter, dynamic characteristics of asymmetric involute spur gear transmission were researched by simulating the virtual prototype model with ADAMS. Meanwhile, the dynamic characteristics of symmetric involute spur gear transmission were compared,to prove whether the asymmetric gear is better in the dynamic meshing process.
