Abstract
Objective: To study the changing regularity of caliber of retrohepatic inferior vena cava and its relationship with the mouth of hepatic veins. Methods:To choose the 34 non-pathologic change livers that were fixed by formalin. To measure its internal diameter with right angle compasses and open the lumen to observe the form of vessel wall and the situation of mouth of hepatic veins. Results:The internal diameter of it near the heart is 23.8±1.1 mm;that of narrow part is 18.0±1.4 mm;and that far from the heart is 20.2±1.5 mm.An angle, whose average degree is 159.7°±2.8° ,is formed in the midsuperior part of it.In the cava of narrow part it shows longitudinal fissure. The mouth of right and left hepatic veins lies the place of 1/4 up of retrohepatic inferior vena cava. The mouth of hepatic small veins with bigger caliber lies down of retrohepatic inferior vena cava about the place of 2/4.Conclusions:The exsisting of longitudinal fissure in cava and inferior vena cava makes the condition of stenotic disease and the form of thrombus.
