Abstract

Objective To study levels of matrix metalloproteinase-3,9(MMP-3,9)and inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1(TIMP-1)in acute myocardial infarction(AMI)and mechanism of plaque rupture.Methods 67 patients with AMI were included,there are 44 males and 23 females,average invasion time wsa 3 hours-5 days.40 cases were included in control group.Serums were collected.MMP-3,MMP-9 and TIMP-1 expression were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results Serum MMP-3 levels in AMI and control group patients were(34.1±36.1)ng/mL and(10.5±5.0)ng/mL,respectively(P0.01),serum MMP-9 levels were(381.0±103.2 ng/mL)ng/mL and(205.6±80.2 ng/mL)ng/mL(P0.01),serum TIMP-1 levels were(2 382.2±1 011.8 ng/mL)ng/mL and(1 952.8±1 126.9ng/mL)ng/mL(P0.05),MMP-3/TIMP-1 were(0.015 2±0.013 4)and(0.008 7±0.011 1)(P0.05),MMP-9/TIMP-1 were(0.179 3±0.059 6)and(0.144 6±0.096 6)(P0.05).Conclusion MMP3,9 express excessively and MMP-3/TIMP-1,MMP-9/TIMP-1 disorder,they may involve in the process of plaque rupture and AMI.
