Abstract
A new type of diffraction grating called compound-modulated grating,acting as a beam splitter through the surface embossment and the refractive index modulation in the medium,is brought forward.For 800 nm wavelength with equal efficiency for the primary and the first order diffraction,five kinds of beam splitters are designed,including sine relief grating,triple relief grating,rectangle grating,volume phase holographic grating and the above compound-modulated grating.The non-sensitivity of the grating structures for the grating parameters in the process of facture is simulated,and the compound-modulated grating is proved the best in facture.
