Abstract
Disinfection by-products( DBPs),caused by free chlorine disinfection,are considered to be a serious threat to human health,catching more attention in recent years. Samples were selected from water utilities in Guangzhou,water sources,water treatment technology and indices of acids( HAAs) in main DBPs were investigated. Results show that in the city the five HAAs concentrations( HAA5) were 5. 91 ~ 45. 75 μg·L~(-1) and the concentration of each compound of HAAs,fitting drinking water quality standards. Toxicity the four common HAAs,including dichloroacetic acid( DCAA),trichloro acetic acid( TCAA),monobromoacetic acid( MBAA) and dibromoacetic acid( DBAA) are 184. 07 μg· L~(-1),193. 57 μg·L~(-1),13. 47 mg·L~(-1) and 15. 00 mg · L~(-1). Further,DCAA and TCAA were selected as target pollutants to discuss the degradation of HAAs by Fenton oxidation.Effects of Fenton reagent dosage,initial p H,the initial concentration of simulated water and reaction
