Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the expression of ERCC1 and TS protein in colorectal carcinoma and its clinical significance.Method:TS protein in 196 cases of colorectal cancer tissues and 50 cases of normal colorectal tissue were applied SP immunohistochemistry and tissue microarray to detect the expression level of ERCC1.The relationship between both of them and the clinical pathological characteristics were analyzed.129 cases of patients were treated with FOLFOX4 chemotherapy and were followed up for 3 years.Result:In colorectal cancer the expression of ERCC1 and TS were higher than those of normal intestinal mucosa, regardless of gender, age, degree of differentiation and part( P 0.05).The positive expression rates of TS and two double positive expression rate in lymph node metastasis and TNM stage Ⅲ,Ⅳ patients increased significantly. The 3 years DFS in negative expression of ERCC1,TS were higher than of the patients of positive expression respectively( P 0.05).Conclusion:The expression of ERCC1,TS protein in colorectal carcinoma are higher than normal tissue. It may be associated with tumorigenesis and tumor metastasis. The patients of ERCC1,TS protein negative expressed could benefit from FOLFOX4 chemotherapy.
