Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effects of high-dose ambroxol on the alteration of surfactant A and B of dogs with acute lung injury following open chest trauma and sea water immersion. Methods:Animal model of ALI was established by seawater immersed thoracic cavity after open chest trauma. These dogs were assigned randomly into the control group(CG)and the ambroxol treatment group(AG).Dogs in AG group had intravenous injection with 12mg/kg body weight of ambroxol30 min after open chest trauma and sea water immersion;dogs in CG group were treated with equal normal saline.Arterial blood gas, extravascular lung water index and Evan's blue leakage index were determined in 2groups.Expressions of SP-A and SP-B in lung and blood serum on different times were also measured. Results:At 6hafter treatment, the PaO2 and PaO2/FiO2 in DG group was significantly higher than control group(P0.05),the EVL-WI and ELI in DG group was lower than control group(P0.05),the SP-A and SP-B in DG group in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid was higher than CG guoup and SP-A and SPB in blood serum lower than CG group(P0.01).Conclusion:Dexamethasone can relieve hypoxia and pulmonary edema after open chest trauma and sea water immersion in dogs and increase the concentrations of SP-A and SP-B in lungs.
