Abstract
Since 1980's, DNA marker technology has revolutionized the genetic study of quantitatively inherited traits. Recent advances in mapping of quantitative trait loci (QTL) in rice are reviewed here. A strategy for marker assisted selection of QTL in rice breeding and some future considerations of QTL analysis are also discussed.
