Abstract
The 105 m steel and concrete composite box beam of Shanghai Tunnel Bridge on the Yangtze River is the largest continuous composite box beam in China now.It uses the advanced construction technology of beam prefabrication as well as long-distance maritime transportation and erection with large floating cranes.A brief introduction about the construction field for beam prefabrication, the division of function districts and the organization of labour force and equipments is given in this paper.
