Reflections on the Culture Teaching in English Language Teaching

Abstract

From the relationship between language and culture, language teaching and culture teaching, the present essay explores, in language teaching, the basic principles that culture teachingshould follow, probes into the specific contents that culture teaching should cover, and puts forward some proper ways for effective culture teaching. It is the author' view that by relating culture teaching to language teaching can the students competence be promoted in language communication and application.
