Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of senile diabetic patients with hypoglycemia, causes and treatment measures. Methods In our hospital were retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 43 cases of diabetic patients with hypoglycemia. Results Main factors lead to hypoglycemia occurs for insulin use is not reasonable, specific for excessive dosage of insulin. 43 cases of senile diabetic patients with hypoglycemia after active treatment, or the clinical effective rate was 90. 70%( 39 /43); The rest of the four patients failed to control blood sugar after active treatment,an illness to break out repeatedly, take positive after symptomatic treatment and processing of blood sugar, low blood sugar under control. Conclusions In order to effectively reduce the incidence rate of senile diabetic hypoglycemia, medical personnel shall make health education for diabetes patients and their families, and make them understand and learn the knowledge of emergency treatment and prevention of hypoglycaemia and measures.
