Abstract
To evaluate the motility of the gallbladder in patients with liver cirrhosis. Methods: The motility of the gallbladder, the plasma concentration of cholecystokinin(CCK) and CCK receptor of the gallbladder wall were studied in patients with and without liver cirrhosis. Results: In patients with cirrhosis, the gallbladder wall was obviously thicker, the motility of gallbladder was significantly decreased compared with those in the other groups. The CCK receptor of gallbladder wall in patients with liver cirrhosis was also reduced. Conclusions: The thickness of gallbladder wall and decrease of CCK R result in reducing the motility of the gallbladder, which is easy to produce gall stone.
