Abstract
Objective:To understand the clinical performance and efficacy of endocapillary proliferative glomerulonephritis (EnPGN) in children. Methods:The analysis, which combined with clinical manifestations and efficacy, included all hospitalized cases of EnPGN which diagnosed by renal biopsy between June 1988 and November 2007.Results:There are 290 cases (87.4%) of acute glomerulonephritis 2type,12 cases (3.6%) of simple nephrotic syndrome, and 27 cases (8.1%) of nephritis nephrotic syndrome,1 case (0.9%) of asymptomatic proteinuria,1 case (0.9%) of persistent nephritis and 1 case (0.9%) of orthostatic proteinuria. In all cases,314 cases (94.6%) were clinically cured,15 cases (4.5%) improved and 3 cases (0.9%) failed to respond. In acute glomerulonephritis type,275 cases (94.8%) were cured,13 cases (4.5%) improved and 2 cases (0.7%) failed to respond. All 12 cases of simple nephrotic syndrome were cured. In nephritis nephrotic syndrome,24 cases (88.9%) were cured,2 cases (7.4%)improved and 1 case (3.7%) failed to respond. The cases (0.9%) of asymptomatic proteinuria, persistent nephritis and orthostatic proteinuria were all cured. Conclusion:Acute glomerulonephritis type (87.3%) was the most in EnPGN,followed by nephrotic syndrome (11.8%),and the least was others (0.9%).The efficacy of acute glomerulonephritis type and simple nephrotic syndrome were better, and nephritis nephrotic syndrome was worse.
