Abstract
Non-mevalonate pathway of isoprenoids found recently is anothe r isoprenoid biosynthesis pathway.We summarized the advances in molecular biology of the new pathway.It was emphasized that the discovery of non-mevalonate pathway and the molecular clones of 1-deoxy-D-xylulose-phosphate synthase(DXS),1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate reductoisomerase(DXR),isoprenyl diphosphate synthase(IPPS).The discovery of non-mevalonate pathway has great applications on agricultural and pharmaceutical areas.
