Abstract
Catalytic oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone catalyzed by quaternary ammonium decatungstate with 30% H_2O_2 as the oxidant was investigated. The effects of reaction time, reaction temperature, the dosage of the oxidant and the catalyst were studied. The results showed that cyclohexanol conversion of 75.0% and the selectivity to cyclohexanone of 90.7% were attained under the optimum reaction condition as follows : eyclohexanol 50 mmol, catalyst dosage 0. 065 mmol, 30% H_2O_2 amount 75 mmol, reaction temperature 80 ℃, reflux reaction time 6 h. After reaction, the catalyst was insoluble in the reaction system and could be recycled after simple filtration and the catalytic activity had little change after repeated use three times. The structures of the catalyst before and after reaction characterized by IR and XRD had no obviously changes.
