Evolution of Yichang reach after impoundment of the Three Gorges Reservoir

Since the impoundment of Three Gorges Reservoir,the water and sediment to the reach has changed,resulting in the process of river transformation.Based on the prototype observation data before and after the impoundment,as well as the boundary condition,this paper analyzes the river channel change,thalweg and evolution of the shoal,and predicts the trend of evolution of Yichang reach.
