Main Interests and Some Key Techniques in CSCW Research

Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW)is a new technology, which integrates human's cooperative mode with computer supported technology. That is to say, in the circumstance of computer supported technology, a group of people collaborates to finish a common task. CSCW has widely been applied to CAD, telediagnosing, multimedia co-editing,E-meeting and other domain. To support group cooperative work, CSCW system must supply share resources and space for users. As a result, people must study many problems. Such as reasonable system architecture, awareness level between users, role control, concurrency control to share object. With development of computer science and technology, CSCW was brought many new techniques. For example, object-oriented technology lets CSCW to realize easier awareness between different levels and mulit-agent technology makes CSCW easier to cooperative with other people. In this thesis, it mainly introduces definition of CSCW, classifying ,main research content, key techniques and effect brought by other technology.
