Abstract

Internet has changed the world greatly with its might. Because of the semi-structured data feature, Web-based data mining is more difficult. Web-based data mining includes the Web content mining, Web structure mining, Web usage mining. This paper makes a description of Web-based data mining technology and introduces the XML. The development and usage of XML have greatly affected Web-data mining and knowledge discovery. The research of data mining based on XML has great potential.
