Abstract

The resistance selection of diamondback moth [Plutella xylostella(L.)] to Azadirachtin was conducted in laboratory. The resistant population was obtained by successive selection of 12 generations, its resistance index to Azadirachtin was 8.29 times that of the related susceptible population. The resistance index of diamondback moth to Azadirachtin ascended in a curve. The life table of experimental population showed the resistant population had longer larval stage and pupal stage, lower number of eggs laid and a fitness value of 0.543 relative to the susceptible population.
