An analysis of the basic nutrients in the soil of Hainan's litchi orchards

Abstract
On-the-spot investigations of Hainan's litchi orchards and analyses of the sample soil reveal the following results: (1) The contents of organic matter and nitrogen are of medium degree in the soil of Hainan's major litchi orchards; (2) The soil in most orchards is strongly acidic; (3) The soil in the orchards is deficient (5-6 grade) in quick-acting phosphorus and potassium.
