General Unity Concept in Qin Dynasty and Historiography

Abstract

Qin Dynasty is the first unified feudal dynasty,but lasts only 15 years.Qin rulers in the implementation of authoritarian culture in the process of establishing the authority of Legalism have taken measures of burning booksand burying Confucians aliveso that fewhistorical works at that time has been left behind.However,it does not mean that Qin Dynasty neglected historiog-raphy completely.Qin’sgeneral unityconcept and control over historiography in a sense have shown Qin’s strong desire to make historiography serve the reality.
