Abstract

Using methods of literature review,the present paper reviewed the recent 30 years' researches on rural sports in China from the following eight aspects: defining of rural sports,development of rural sports since the founding of People's Republic of China,influencing factors and their countermeasures,rural sports population,public facilities in rural sports,rural sports culture,strategic status of town sports in rural sports development and rural sports researches in new village construction,and finally raised some reflections on the researches of rural sports in China in the new era.
