Humanity:the Joint Interest of Historical Materialism and History

This paper discusses the cultural basis existing in Marx's historical materialism and history,illustrating that there is a shared interest in humans in the historical materialism and history.Historical materialism has a revolution in its philosophical understanding,changing from ideological philosophy to practical philosophy or cultural philosophy.It puts human beings in a world of feelings and starting from that point of view,it further shows the existing significance and value of human beings.History,however,belongs in its essence to the world of meanings and cultures.Both have realized the importance of human beings,getting rid of the so-called scientific natural view of human beings.It is this realistic concern and the cultural understanding of human beings that connect historical materialism and history.
