On The Singing of Folk Songs

Abstract
In music teaching in colleges,folk-song singing is an important specialized course,but how to help students to sing successfully is a real problem.This article provides some suggestions concerning the following aspects: to find out the place of origin of the song;to grasp the dialect characteristics and the style;to know well the come-into-being background and understand the theme;to collect folk songs personally;to learn the skills such as how to treat well the grace,the main lyrics,the foil lyrics,the coda and the tune drawing.
