Development of the multi-card driver for video transmission card in windows NT

Abstract

Because manipulating the hardware direcly is not allowed in Windows NT, it is difficult to develop the software that is combined with hardware. In this paper, the general methods for developing the device driver based on PCI bus in Windows NT and debugging the device driver with the SoftICE are introduced. In the end a method to develop the multi-card device driver for multiple video transmission cards is presented.;
