Abstract
A new type of holed-pin mixing section improving the mixing performance of single-screw extruders is introduced in comparision with a normal pin mixing section. While the axial distance is about 11-14 mm between the two pins it enchances the melt flow along the screw circumference effectively and improve the distributive mixing performance of the extruder greatly.
