Abstract
[Objective]The aim was to explore the drought resistance of L. indica seeds.[Method]The seed germination and seedling growth of L. indica were discussed through simulating the solution drought stress conditions with different PEG-6000 concentrations(0,5%,6%,7% and 9%). [Result]With the increasing of PEG(5%- 7%)concentrations,the germination percentage, germinat index, seed vigor index, seedling epicotyl were all decreased gradually, the number of lateral root and seedling hypocotyl were promoted, and the above indexes were all significantly declined in 9% concentration of the PEG-6000. [Conclusion]L. indica seed could tolerant the osmotic stress of 5%-7% PEG treatment, and seedling tolerate appropriate drought by reducing the growth of above ground part while maintaining a high percentage of root mass under lab condition.
