Abstract

Bacillus thuringiensis( Bt) plays a major role in pest management. There are 20 species of insects that can produce resistance to Bt.The potential risks of commercially release of Bt crops is that insects may rapidly evolve resistance to Bt pesticide protein. It is essential todevelop pest resistance management and enforce Bt gene protection for persistingtouse Bt pesticide protein and Bt transgenic crops.
