The Literary Creation of the Zhangs in Shanglin County

Abstract
During the Qing Dynasty in Shanglin of Guangxi,the Zhang family could be rated as No.1 in Guangxi's literary circle for its number of writers,durance and achievements.The major members of the literary family included Zhang Hong-he,Zhang Hong-hui,Zhang You-zhu,Zhang Zi,Zhang Peng-zhan,Zhang Peng-qi,Zhang Peng-chao and Zhang Yuan-Ding.Their literary creation took the form of poetry and attained good achievements,represented by Zhang Peng-zhan.The Zhangs' literary achievements were proportional to their performances in imperial examinations and official ranks.Their poetry has the characteristics of simplicity and gracefulness.They were good at short poems with each line made up of five or seven words,but weak at long poems.The Zhangs' literary achievements are significant to the literary development of the Zhuang nationality.
