Abstract

A questionnaire has been conducted to investigate the present situation of the use of mother tongue and target language in the class of English major.The students'attitude towards the choice of teaching language was also explored.The results showes that students still have the inconsistency in their mind.The author worries about the extensive use of mother tongue and wants to warn the teachers and researchers of the interference from it in the teaching of English major.
