Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of carvedilol in patients with CHF (New York Heart Association functional class Ⅱ Ⅳ).Methods The patients with CHF were treated with carvedilol at the beginning dose of 5mg/d and then slowly titrated to 40mg/d as tolerated or to the dose can be just tolerated.At the same time,results were evaluated at 12th month.Results (1) Carvedilol had obvious effect on CHF at 12th month and the mean dose was (31.35±7.56)mg/d (10-40mg/d);(2) Only one case could not tolerate carvedilol.Conclusions Carvedilol have good effect on patients with CHF which can tolerate carvedilol well.
