Abstract
Smoke movement with water spray is studied by PHOENICS software. Without considering combustion and water spray effect on combustion. Fire is simulated just by heat source. Smoke movement is simulated by turbulent k-e equation. The motion of smoke is driven by Lagrangian particles carried with the heat released of combustion, and different velocity and size water spray by ejected from a sprinkler is simulated. The effect of the water sprays with different water spray angles and spray droplet sizes on the smoke layer is analyzed and discussed, in the condition of smoke filling.
