Abstract

Effective reservoir prediction methods can describe and characterize reservoir accurately, and seismic inversion is the core technology, its effective methods will help search and distinguish non-structural reservoirs. This paper has focused on geostatistical inversion method of reservoir prediction, the method combines the idea of stochastic simulation with seismic inversion, constrained by seismic data, predicting reservoir with stochastic simulation algorithm,to describe the changes in the reservoir more accurately. In this paper, with the Western Slope of the northern Xingshugang oil field as an example, using 3Dseismic data, well data and geological data,high-resolution geostatistical inversion was proceeded on the basis of the sparse spike wave impedance inversion to predict sand body distribution.Studies have shown that the predicted results were consistent with a high degree of drilling data, providing a basis for understanding the reservoir sand body distribution and laying the foundation for searching for favorable oil reservoir areas.
