Abstract

According to the structural characteristics of reinforced-earth retaining wall, and adopting nonlinear finite element method combined with field experiment, this paper analyzed its structural characteristics from the stress distribution of reinforced-earth retaining wall, bar tension distribution, foundation stress distribution, and lateral displacement of the wall. The conclusion that the structural characteristics of reinforced-earth retaining wall was obviously different from general gravity retaining wall was drawn, based on which, some suggestions for design and construction were put forward.
