Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of the transplantation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) in the repair of injured myocardium in rats with myocardial infarction, and to provide experimental evidence for improving the treatment of myocardial infarction. Methods Myocardial infarction was induced according to Olivette ' s method in 22rats.The 16rats with myocardial infarction were randomly divided into two groups, with 8rats in each group.Rats in transplantation group were injected with BMSCs in the infarct region.Rats in control group were given PBS injection. The heart function was assessed by echocardiography and heart tissue was taken 4weeks after operation. The distribution and differentiation of BMSCs and capillary density in infarct area were observed under fluorescence microscope. Results The cardiac-like cells positive for both CM-Dil and cTnT were observed in infarct area.Compared with control group, left ventricular end-systolic diameter, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter, ejection fraction and left ventricular fractional shortening were improved and capillary density was increased in transplantation group(P0.05).Conclusion BMSCs can differentiate into cardiac-like cells, promote angiogenesis and improve cardiac function in the infarcted heart.
