Abstract
The study conducted the trial of grassland fencing,forage sowing and processing,cashmere goats improvement in desert grassland in Pingshanhu Township,Ganzhou County,Zhangye City.The results showed that the vegetation coverage in fenced grassland were higher than free grazing pasture 23.57%,18.47%,49.65% respectively in 2007,2008 and 2009.The biomass of fenced pasture were also higher than free grazing pasture 34.08%,24.12%,50.78% respectively.The yield of silage maize was 13 428.8 kg/hm2.The utilization rate of maize stalks after making silage increased 35.83% than before,and the utilization rate of maize straw after chopping increased 25.83% than feeding whole plant to animals,After crossbreeding,the yield of cashmere wool of F1 increased 26.7% and survival rate increased 19.7%.
