Effect of Entecavir Combined with Dahuangzhechong Pills on Hepatic Fibrosis in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B

OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of Entecavir combined with Dahuangzhechong pills on hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).METHODS:140 CHB patients were randomly assigned to receive Entecavir alone(control group)or Entecavir in combination with Dahuangzhechong pills(trial group)for 12 months.The liver function parameters,the hepatic fibrosis indexes and the adverse drug effects in the two groups were observed.RESULTS:In the treatment group vs.the control group,the normalization rate of ALT(alanine aminotransferase)was 88.9% vs.73.5%(P0.05),the normalization rate of total bilirubin(TBIL)was 88.2% vs.91.7%%(P0.05).After treatment,serum hyaluronic acid(HA),laminin(LN),type Ⅲ precollagen,type Ⅳ collagen peptide decreased more significantly in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).2 cases in the trial group had mild adverse drug reactions.CONCLUSIONS:Entecavir combined Dahuangzhechong pills is more useful than either condition alone in preventing or reversing the formation and development of liver fibrosis.
