Abstract
In order to optimize the decoloration technology of the xylose extraction solution from bagasse, the effects of four kinds of active carbons on adsorptive decoloration of the xylose extraction solution were investigated. The results showed that active carbon C1 performed well in the ad- sorption of coloring matters. The adsorption rate of pigment reached 96.34% and the recovery rate of xylose was up to 88.24% when the extraction solution was treated with 8% active carbon C1 at 40℃ for 60 min and initial pH 4.5.
