Professional Service of Social Work in the Social Welfare System

With the rapid development of modern society, people’s life has been increased tremendously; meanwhile, there are more and more risks and uncertainties. People have to come up against different problems in person, family or community with professional knowledge and technology. Social work is one of such helping professions. It appreciates not only the philosophy of human but also the value of human being. Professional as it is, social work helps people to handle their problems by enhancing the social functions. By explaining the important role of social work in the system of western social welfare, this thesis is going to analyze the relations between social work and social welfare, and study the function of social work acting in the establishment and development of social welfare.
