Du Fu’s poems are always regarded as “poetic history”. However, what relation is there between “poem” and “history”. The article starts with neo-historical angle, combining the classical review with the modern review, holding that the history of Du’s poems is fictional history, and the style of history and poetic artistic are thought to be used to write his poems. The fictional history style of history and artistic thought constitute the expressional form of “poetic history”. The difference between poetic history and the ordinary books lei in the fictional history and poetic artistic thought, and the difference between poetic history and the ordinary poems is its style of history and the poet’s knowledge of history.
