Abstract
The time-history analysis method is used to calculate the response behavior of a continuous rigid-frame arch bridge subjected to longitudinal, longitudinal plus vertical and three-dimensional excitation. The influences of the triangle frame stiffness of the type of the bridge on the seismic response of main and side arches are discussed and the seismic response behavior of the main arch and through arch bridge is comparatively analyzed. The results show that the tie member of the side arch is the weak part of the continuous rigid-frame arch bridge under action of seismic excitation and the triangle frame stiffness has considerable influences on the seismic response of both the main and side arches.
