Abstract

Seismic inversion is the essential first-step to ensure the proper integration of seismic data, well-logs,velocity and geological information. The authors made comparison among some seismic impedance inversion methods usually applied by oil community in principles, key ways, work flows, advantages, disadvantages and applying conditions. The seismic inversion practice indicates that good reservoir prediction results could be gained following the rules and work flows, with reduction of the E P risk.
