Comparative Study of Offensive and Defensive Ability of Chinese and Other Men's Basketball Teams in 27~(th) Universiade

Men's Basketball competition in Universiade is a fierce competition between main forces of world men's basketball reserve talents,which represents future competitive strength of every country in international basketball society. Adopting methods of literature consultation,mathematical statistics,video observation and comparative analysis,this thesis makes analysis and comparative research on offensive and defensive ability between Chinese team and others in 27 th Universiade. Significance of this research is to find out disparity between Chinese and foreign reserve basketball teams and provide scientific theoretical basis for cultivating and training on Chinese reserve basketball team. Results are as follows: in this competition,inside offense ability of Chinese team is relatively stronger while outside offense ability is comparatively weaker,offense between inside and outside is unbalance,fighting of offensive rebounds is not positive and too many turnovers under high-intensity game are main reasons of failure. From the perspective of defense,Chinese team has an advantage in block shots and control of defensive fouls while the data on stealing is lower than competitors. In future competition and training,outside offense,defense steal and rebound ability should be strengthened,reducing fault in competition,which can better increase offensive and defensive ability of team.
