Discussion about Rapid Functional Design of Region Rail Transit——The case of Rail Transit No.11 of Shanghai

The regional rail transit is one important mode of urban passenger transport system.To achieve its rapid function, based on analyzing characteristics of transit line and passengers,the paper takes the rail transit No.11 as an case to provide the design methods of rapid function of region rail transit,including:identifying the functions,improving linear design standards, controlling the number of sites,implementation of breakpoint operation and fast and normal frequency of trains,reasonable vehicles,and etc,which provides a reference for other regional rail transit planning and construction.
