Revival of the Neo-Confucianism and the historical philosophy conceived in Yi-ology

This paper believes one of the motives that makes in deep level the revival of the Neo-Confucianism in the Northern Song dynasty is to search for a Dao which is advanced to the sublime principle and metaphysics, namely, the Dao of heaven or heavenly principle so as to restrict the king’s power, and provide with a theoretical direction of managing state affairs. The Neo-Confucian scholars realize the revival of Confucianism through interpreting the Zhouyi, and attempt to regular the social politics with their Confucian ideal political blueprint, with regard to this, they make a deep discussion on the issues of historical philosophy, such as the development direction of history, the framework and changes of the society, the motive and law of the historical development and so on. So, the revival the Neo-Confucianism results in some degree from the research of some issues on the historical philosophy conceived in Yi-ology.
