Abstract
The contents of twelve metal elements in Maitong such as K, Ca, Na, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Ni, Cr, Cd and Pb were determined by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and the values of Cu/Zn ratio and Ca/Mg ratio were calculated. These results were analyzed. The results showed that there are rich grand element such as K, Ca and Mg, and the profitable element such as trace element Cu, Zn and Fe etc in Maitong. The contents of poisonous elements(Cd and Pb) is low comparatively. The content sequence of metal elements is as follow: KCaNaMgFeZnMnCuNiCrCdPb,and the value of ratio Cu/Zn more than Ca/Mg. It provided that the useful data for discussing the relationship between trace elements in Chinese traditional medicines and the cure for cerebrovascular disease.
